After a long period of "censored" ear-licking, she gradually and subtly began to show more, eventually reaching a point where she featured the ear-licking in a completely explicit manner. Since then, her approach has remained volatile. It’s not as if she alternates between explicit content and a hyper-vigilant, second-by-second effort to hide everything from one video to the next; rather, it follows a strange, long-term cycle.

Bizarrely, she’ll turn the 3DIO microphone around, dim the lights, use her hands on the screen, or cover the ears with them. Then, out of the blue, she might make an entire video dedicated to licking the lenses. It seems to go in cycles; it’s never clear whether she actually cares about the sexualization aspect or not. It’s all very strange to me. It’s worth noting that, alongside the introduction of stricter censorship, she significantly scaled back her "ear-licking" content—and this happened *before* YouTube’s new policy, which rules out the idea that it was a response to pressure from the platform.

Nowadays, with Patreon in the mix, things are a bit different—though there have been some criticisms. For instance, in a 30-minute video from November of last year, only about a third (10 minutes) actually featured ear-licking; the rest was just blowing into the ears—it felt like she was just padding out the runtime. I’m not sure if that’s because people had paid for it, or if she’s simply stopped worrying as much about whether the content is sexual or not. But as I mentioned in earlier comments, this recent "Tascam" trend has raised a red flag for me. This is the second such video in just one month, and the situation has clearly intensified. It’s possible that, moving forward, she might start populating her Patreon with the same kind of content she could easily post on YouTube.
 
水増しの話に直接つながるけど、ここ数年、少なくとも俺が見てるチャンネルは、動画全体で1種類のトリガーだけをやるのを全員嫌がるようになった気がする。1本に5個以上のトリガーを詰め込んで、どれも十分に掘り下げられてないことが多い。これがASMRの商業化の問題だよ。再生数と収益を最大化するために、毎回全員に媚びようとしてる。トリガーによっては好き嫌いが大きく分かれるし、1つに絞った動画だとコンボ動画ほど再生数が伸びないって分かってるんだよね。登録してるチャンネルはどんどん聴かなくなって、今は聴きたいトリガーを検索して、検索結果からランダムに動画を開いてる。
 
いい指摘だね。しかもクリックベイトじゃない場合の話だけど。例えば俺が言ってた去年11月の「限定」動画、あれがYouTube動画だったら典型的なクリックベイトだったと思う。3分の2はメインの売りと全然関係なかったし、かなりセコいやり方だよ。
Frivは普段こういうことしないけど、YouTubeでは何回かこの手のことやってる。

さっきも言ったけど、これはサイクルなんだ。全部ただの推測。本当の理由は分からないし、分かってるって言う人がいても、その人も間違ってる可能性は十分ある。彼女の決断があれだけ気まぐれだと、実際の動機を特定するのは難しい。

それでも、俺らは彼女について話すためにここにいる。本人の情報がない以上、推測するしかないし、俺の筋道は妥当だと思ってる。もしこの筋道を変えるような材料が本当にあるなら、聞く用意はあるよ。でも現状、君の仮説は俺が組み立ててるものより手前で止まってる。
 
ASMRの好みって人によってこんなに違うのかって面白いよね。自分は彼女のtingly partiesが大好きだった（当時は耳舐めも含まれてた頃の話）。同じトリガーだけの単調な音を延々と聞かされても、残念ながら自分には何も響かない。
